Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies 301
BIS 301 is an introductory into Interdisciplinary Studies. In this class I learned how to join my two concentrations together.
While each instructor chooses the contents of the course, the class topics heavily incorporate reading and writing literacy.
This course helped me get a better understanding of what it means to be an interdisciplinarian and how to apply it to multiple
facets of my life.

Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies 302
BIS 302 focuses on research methods. This class helped me gain more exposure to my two concentration areas while helping
me obtain and fine-tune necessary skills such as critical thinking and analysis. This was done by researching a topic that
pertains to my two concentration areas and finalizing a written report on the subject.

Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies 401
BIS 401 is an internship class which provided me with hands on experience at a work site of my choice. This applied study
helped me to prepare for life after graduation by requiring the students to interview and secure their own internship position.
In doing so I was able to see how the interview process works as well as gaining valuable insight on my selected fields of
study. The ability to apply concepts learned through school has enabled me to have a greater understanding of business and
communications.

Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies 402
BIS 402 is the final course in the Interdisciplinary series. This senior seminar involves a greater examination of interdisciplinary
thinking but leaves the topic choice up to the individual instructor. In my final installment I was able to discover previously
uncovered aspects of myself and the world around me. This was done by taking a journey of self realization guided by our
instructor and four course readers. This journey entailed taking a serious look at oneself and the strengths and weakness
we possess. It then helped us to awaken the hidden opportunities that lie within ourselves to help better us for the world
that waits us post graduation.
